We have had multiple incidence of head lice in our class. Head lice is not a health threatening problem, but it does require that treatment be provided immediately.

We ask that parents be deligent in checking their child and treating as necessary. If you do have a confirmed case of lice, please notify the school, so that we can continue to work together to reduce the spread.

There is a ‘Lice Squad’ link (under links for parents) that provides some information on how to prevent the spread or you can contact the Simcoe County District Health Unit’s Health Connection Line.

Please talk with your child about putting hats, scarves/neckwarmers in their cubbies or in their backpacks to help with the possible spreading of lice.
